A Member Update from Scott Kelby

Last February, we made a commitment to refocus on our core values — to get back to the education-based ideals we were founded upon, and on creating the best learning experience for our members around the world. In these past five months we’ve made tremendous progress, and today I wanted to give you a quick update on where we are and share a look toward the future and where we’re going. Reinforcing our commitment to you Creating new courses is the core of what we do and the most popular way we deliver our training. Every Thursday we release a brand new class (or two), and I have to say that recently we’ve released some of our best classes ever. We are seeing the results in more classes being watched, longer viewing times, and more engagement from our members than we’ve seen in years. We even produced a class on how to have a professional online portfolio tonight. We have been focused on what we do best and on reinforcing the commitment we made to you. We’re working on more than just classes Our overall member experience has to be great — it has to be world-class — and so while we’ve been focused on working on providing awesome new classes, our tech team has been hard at work on creating a vastly better experience on our member site, and they have truly been kicking butt. We’ve probably made more improvements, tweaks, enhancements and performance boosts in these last five months than we have in the past two years. From a member experience side, we just wanted everything to be faster. We wanted pages to load quicker, the site to respond zippier, and we want our videos to stream faster and smoother than ever before. To get there, we did a major overhaul to our backend systems, and the results were so immediate that not only were our members noticing it, but they...
